There are over 300 species of turtles and tortoises in the world. These are the only ones we know if that are made from reclaimed wood.

We collect limbs from fallen trees, landscape and lumbering waste to carve the shells. Then we search for the right size twigs for the legs. The heads are made from the crotches of tree branches. We carve the heads and fit the legs to the body. Once the turtle is fully assembled we wood burn the design on the shell. The final step is applying a light coat of finish to bring our the natural beauty of the wood.

We have a wide variety of designs and are always coming up with new ones.

If you have an idea for a design we would be happy to create a custom one just for you!

The turtles are made from natural materials and come in a variety of sizes. The small ones are approximately 4 inches long and 2.5 inches tall.

Stash boxes are a neat way to keep small things out of sight. Great place to stash some cash, keep jewelry, coins or anything else that you want to have handy.

Made from solid reclaimed cherry or maple tree limb with the bark still attached. The top features an original piece of artwork that we create by burning the image by hand.

The stash boxes are about 4 inches tall with a 1.5 – 2 inch inside diameter. They made from natural materials so there is some size variation.

Let us know if you have an image that you would like to have burned on the lid!

Fun and whimsical! Handmade from wood reclaimed from sawmill trimmings, this Fairy Cottage birdhouse/bird feeder will add a touch of whimsy to your garden. Fairies have been known to take up residence in particularly well-tended gardens.

Add your own personal touches – beads, feathers, shiny wire – to attract visitors.

The Fairy Cottage was designed and crafted by the Brittenham Family in their log cabin studio high above Skaneateles Lake. The Finger Lakes region of New York is the perfect location to develop bird and fairy dwellings.

The wood selected comes from a mix of hardwoods including maple, cherry, walnut, ash and hickory. Made using waterproof glue and galvanized nails, the Fairy Cottage Bird House will last for many years.

15 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 10 inches deep.

Listen. That ghostly sound you hear while sitting at your campfire alongside a Northern Lake is most likely the call of the common Loon.
The Ojibwa (Chippewa) Indians called the loon “Mang” or “the most handsome of birds.” They thought the loons haunting cry was an omen of death. In some native legends the loon is a bird of magical powers, in others a messenger or a symbol of power.
This Loon is an original wood burning. The Frame is handmade from reclaimed hardwood that was rescued from a sawmill’s trimmings pile.

Handmade from wood reclaimed from sawmill trimmings, this Fairy Cottage bird feeder will add a touch of whimsy to your garden.

The Bird feeder was designed and crafted by the Brittenham Family in their log cabin studio high above Skaneateles Lake. The Finger Lakes region of New York is the perfect location to develop bird and fairy dwellings.

The wood selected comes from a mix of hardwoods including maple, cherry, walnut, ash and hickory. Made using waterproof glue and galvanized nails, the Fairy Cottage Bird Feeder will last for many years.
